Friendly Neighbourhood Mode for everybody: For this season, Friendly Neighbourhood Mode is the default scoring for all kouples. Every game counts toward your score, where you can try as many times as you like to win at each difficulty. Your score in each scenario is your highest difficulty win.
📢 Win or go home once per difficulty
Once per difficulty level, per scenario, you can specify ahead of time that you are going to take on the Gauntlet Challenge with that game. Your score in each scenario is your highest difficulty Gauntlet Challenge win. Uses the regular score submission form.
📢 Compete for bragging rights with your off-picks
After you earn your top score in a round, take your unused picks from that round and try to top the Punch Club leaderboard following Friendly Neighborhood Mode scoring rules. Uses the regular score submission form.
CONDITION 1: Prelates deck
Setup: Shuffle the Prelate modular set and place it Prelate face up. This is the Prelates deck.
Throughout the game the top card will be your next Prelate.
Defeated Prelates go face up on the bottom of the Prelate deck instead of to the Victory Display.
Each Prelate LOSES its text related to engaging with the first player.
Each Prelate gains the following text: “Forced Response: When this Prelate minion enters play, draw the top card of the Masters of Evil deck and assign it this Prelate minion before any other enters play effects trigger. The Masters of Evil minion loses its card type and is no longer a card that can be targeted by game effects. All non-trait text from the Master of Evil minion’s text box is considered to be additional text in the Prelate minion’s text box.” Abilities that trigger when the Masters of Evil minion would have activated, such as Melter’s ability that triggers when he attacks, trigger for the Prelate during their same type of activation.

- Choose a player to start with a Prelate minion in play with a Masters of Evil card assigned to it as additional text, As per the modified Prelate Forced Response.
- The main scheme begins with 1 or 2 additional acceleration tokens added to it, according to the number of icons shown.
- The ARMORED ASSAULT side scheme (Armadillo modular set) starts in play during setup. It is considered part of the main encounter deck for all game effects (discard, etc).
- Thanos’ Forced Response is replaced with “Forced Response: After the infinity stone deck runs out, reveal the top card of the Prelate deck and give it to the active player.” This will most commonly occur during one of Thanos’ activations, which could result in the Prelate minion activating during the Enemies Activate portion of the Villain Phase. Fun!
- Thanos’ Forced Response is replaced with “Forced Response: After the infinity stone deck runs out, find ARMORED ASSAULT and put it into play. Then reveal the top card of the Prelate deck and give it to the active player.”
- When the players defeat Thanos II and advance to Thanos III, advance the Main Scheme to Stage 2. If already on Main Scheme Stage 2, Main Scheme 2A’s When Revealed effect triggers a second time.
The following cards make up a distinct deck called the Masters of Evil deck. When a card from this deck would be discarded or removed from play, it is placed in the Master of Evil deck discard. Other Masters of Evil minions, such as Shuri’s nemesis, are considered distinct from this deck if they ever come into play.
CONDITION 1: Holding Cells
Setup: Remove the wild resource HOLDING CELL (M.O.D.O.K. #5) from the game. There will be only 3 holding cells in the game
The first ADAPTOID Environments put into play during setup is always PSIONIC UPGRADE. Any further ADAPTOID Environments put into play are random, according to the regular game rules.
The Forced Interrupt on each HOLDING CELL is replaced with “Forced Interrupt: When the last lock counter is removed from here, remove this card from play and put the top Prelate from the Prelate deck in play engaged with the first player. Attach assigned attachments to this Prelate.”
Add the following text to M.O.D.O.K. “Forced Interrupt:” At the end of Stage 1 of the Villain Phase remove a lock counter from the HOLDING CELL with the fewest lock counters (players choose if tied) and flip over an Annoying Attachment and assign it to the top Prelate in the Prelate deck. Players do not need to execute this Forced Interrupt if they have removed one or more lock counters since the previous Villain Phase Stage 1, by an effect other than this forced interrupt.” For example, if you defeated an ADAPTOID during the previous Villain Phase or the most recent Player Phase, you do not need to execute this Forced Interrupt. It is recommended to use a Yes/No style of counter that you flip to Yes when the players (not this Forced Interrupt) remove a counter from a HOLDING CELL, and then this counter flips to No at the end of Villain Phase Stage 1.
CONDITION 2: Prelates deck
Setup: Shuffle the Prelate modular set and place it Prelate face up. This is the Prelates deck.
Throughout the game the top card will be your next Prelate. Whenever a new Prelate becomes the top card of this deck (including the start of the game), flip over X+1 Annoying Attachments and assign them to this Prelate, where X = the number of Holding Cells that have been removed from the game. When this Prelate enters play, all its assigned attachments will be attached to it.
Each Prelate RETAINS its text related to engaging with the first player.

- When an ADAPTOID enters play (including during setup), flip over X+1 Annoying Attachments and attach them to that ADAPTOID, ignoring all keyword restrictions. X = the number of Holding Cells that have been removed from the game.
- This does not include Adaptoids that enter play during setup
The following cards make up a distinct deck called the Annoying Attachments deck. When a card from this deck would be discarded or removed from play, it is placed in the Annoying Attachments discard. Other minion attachments, including a possible second copy of GENE THERAPY in the game are considered distinct from this deck if they ever come into play. Ignore any keyword restrictions on these cards that would restrict you from being able to attach them to a Prelate minion or an Adaptoid minion. It is recommended to use a distinct card sleeve for cards in this deck.
